DTM Metal Rust 4.5 L Basis

Metal oil paint 4.5 L. Direct-to-metal enamel with metallic finish. One-component self-primed paint based on phenolic -modified alkyd resin. Creates an elegant granulated metallic finish. Intended for direct application on ferrous metals, aluminium and galvanized surfaces in interior and exterior use. Indicated for both DIY and industrial customers. Special features: Extremely quick drying. Contains a zinc-phosphate rust-inhibitor providing the product very good anticorrosive protection. Can be also used for painting walls, wood etc. after application of a suitable primer. Surface Preparation: Galvanized metal and aluminium: Metal surfaces must be clean, dry and abraded, with dust, dirt, wax and grease removed. Ferrous metals: Metal surfaces must be clean, dry and abraded, with dust, dirt, wax and grease removed. Corrosion and any loose material must be scraped, chipped, wire brushed or otherwise abraded to remove such contamination. Application: By roller, brush or a sprayer. Thinner: Xylene. Dilution quantity (by volume) up to: 15-20 %. Air pressure: 3. Thinner for cleaning tools: Xylene. Limitations: Do not apply the material when the temperature is below 7 °C or when rain is predicted. Colour: see packaging. Finish: Granulated metallic. Theoretical coverage (m2/l): 6-7 m2/L in two coat with dry coat thickness of 40 microns (or 90 microns wet coat). Recommended number of coats: 1-2. Solids content (by volume): 45±3%. Dry-time: dry-to-touch: 30 minutes. Dry-to-recoat: 4 hours.
