Veneziano is a special water-based acrylic paste giving the interior walls a unique appearance of smooth natural marble. The walls won’t pick up dirt and will retain their noble finish over time. Distinguished by its easy application and ability to be polished already during the first coat. For interior walls only! Typical Uses: Can be applied on new walls after they have been smoothed with Gold Bond American Putty or on existing walls after suitable preparation. Also applicable on gypsum board and gypsum plaster. Surface Preparation: Smooth new walls with two coats of extra-fine smoothing compound like Gold Bond American Putty. When applied on gypsum walls, one coat of putty is generally sufficient. Clean the surface to remove sanding dust and apply as undercoat either Bonding Primer tinted in a shade similar to the required shade of Stucco Veneziano or a coat of clear Primer S. Application: Apply with the aid of a stainless steel trowel in a thin coat. Spread the first coat using a rotary motion. Do not apply in straight lines. Cover the entire wall and leave to dry for at least 4 hours. Apply the second coat in a thin layer with the aid of a mortar using semicircular movements similar to a figure “S”, first in one direction and then in the opposite. While applying the material, smooth it with the mortar using rapid movements. Continue smoothing the surface also during the drying process. The gloss level that is obtained depends on the extent to which the material is pressed and smoothed while drying. Can be overcoated with a Water-based Varnish or a special wax after 24 hours drying to provide additional resistance to water and dirt. Limitations: Do not apply the material when the temperature is below 5 °C or above 35 °C. Clean Up: Tools and hands can be cleaned with soap and water immediately after use. Colour: according to the shades of Nirlat Stucco Veneziano catalogue. Dilution: Ready-to use. Coverage: 1 kg/2-2.5 m2. The coverage is calculated according to the work of a skilled applicator on a surface with an ordinary degree of absorption. Dry Time: To recoat: 3 hours (under ordinary weather conditions). Complete drying: 24 hours
