English Breakfast tea, with a content enriched with various teas originating from Assam, Ceylon and Kenya, which is widely used in British and Irish cultures. It consists of different types of black tea, with full-bodied, robust, rich flavor and blended to go well with milk and sugar. Its origins are thought to date back to the 18th century and the popularity of the blend was created by Queen Victoria. In 1892 she tasted the tea in Balmoral, Scotland and returned to London with a certain amount of this tea. After this event the tea got the name English Breakfast, despite its Scottish origin.
